System Requirements

Below are the recommended system requirements, BARX Africa may experience performance issues if these are not met.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 or a more recent operating system with the latest service packs and security updates installed
  • Oracle Java Runtime Environment with a minimum of version 1.8.0 update 121
  • 2GB hard disk space available
  • 1GB of available RAM
  • Dual core Processor
  • Internet Explorer 8 or later with 128-bit encryption and ActiveX enabled (for BARX FX only)
  • Internet Connectivity with a recommended minimum 3Mbps download speed
  • Anonymous and Basic authentication support (Window Integrated authentication, otherwise known as NTLM, is currently not supported.)
  • Firewall to be configured to allow the files types .jnlp and .jar
  • Firewall to be configured to allow the IP addresses:
